Our Story

Muddy Boots Kids started with a simple frustration: it's hard to compete with a screen. Tablets and phones are built by teams of engineers to be as engaging as possible, and a stick, a leaf, or a garden doesn't stand a chance against that on its own.
So instead of fighting screens, we borrowed what makes them work. The Kidiscope gives kids a real screen to look through, but what's on it is a ladybird on a leaf, the veins in a petal, or the texture of a coin, not a feed. It turns the back garden, the park, or a walk to school into something worth putting the tablet down for.
We're a small, UK-run outfit, not a toy conglomerate. We chose one product to get right rather than a big catalogue: something rechargeable, simple enough for a child to use without help, and honest about what it actually does. You won't see us claiming lab-grade magnification or miracle results, just a tool that makes looking closely at ordinary things feel like discovering something new.
That's the whole idea behind Muddy Boots Kids: less time asking to be entertained, more time out finding things worth showing someone.
